Corporate Welfare Fatigue

Awareness is the first step

In American politics, in general, the Democrats like to slide government funds and policy to the labour unions and regulatory bodies (bureaucrats) and the Republicans like to give subsidies to big business. Of course both do both, but in general that has been the history.

This of course means that government distortions gain an increasing larger share of the economy, be it direct spending or regulation eg limited choices for people. The good news is that the states, who also do beggar-thy-neighbor tax-break gimmics to get businesses to locate in their jurisdictions, are getting fed-up with this State-Capitalism, as well they should. At least according to USA Today.
