Governors Fiscal Policy Report Card

Below average

Cato has just released their annual report on the Nation's governors, and as is to be expected in this day of focused gains and diffused costs to government programs due to an ever-enlarging nation and economy and thus ever-enlarging spoils for the elite, only one governor made an "A" for his efforts to be responsible with the taxpayer's money; Matt Blunt (R, MO). Blunt was the only one who received an "A". Gov. Pataki (R, NY) received a "D", and there were 9 Governors who got "F"s. Look it up, see how yr home-state did. Note that, just coincidently, those states with lower taxes tend to gain in population while those with higher taxes and more profligate government lose population.
